Wear Some Attitude With Those Boots

Yay, I have another outfit post! Originally on wednesday I had planned to shoot some outfits i'd worn but due to the weather or lighting I was unable to get photos. That didn't happen. Then today, I woke up it was nice weather I thought, yes, today is the day. But again, it was not meant to be. As I began to get ready the rain started so I didn't really want to spend time re-applying makeup and getting dressed up just for it to not happen. Plus, with the way our weather and short days are, you have to be really quick! So it's better to get something else shot rather than nothing at all. So as I was just jumping to the pharmacy to get some medication and doing a small food shop, I didn't really need to dress up too much. So casual & chic it was!

I know I said I didn't have the weather to put my other outfits on, but that would of taken time and time in Scotland at this time of the year is precious! I had things needing to get done and it was beginning to get late so it wasn't long before we would lose the light... I'd say that about an hour or so after we took these photos the evening grey skies had already began to set in. I have to say, i'm enjoying making casual outfits a bit more chic again. About a year ago I would just throw any old rubbish I could find. Most of the time that was just an oversized jumper and some doc martens... Not that there's anything wrong with that, I just wasn't even trying to make it look cool. I wanted to blend in the background.

I'm hoping to be able to get more outfit posts, but the weather is so unpredictable in Scotland! That's why Chris and I are thinking about getting up earlier one day a week and just shooting everything I've worn! I know I normally post what i've worn that day on the day, but you will only get 1-2 post every 2 weeks if you are lucky! Even though I've made changes on the blog, I still want to keep posting outfit posts as much as I can, as I do enjoy doing them and keeping to what this blog was originally about!

Chris and I went out last night for dinner for a date night and I wore this shirt. In all honesty, when I woke up this morning, it was lying on the floor. I didn't hesitate in grabbing it whatsoever. I'm not even ashamed. Its great to add a little more "put together in outfit". I thought the corduroy jeans would look great, keeping the casual in this outfit very firmly on the ground. Also, I adore them. I'm loving that they are cords as well as being bootcut rather than the safe skinny jeans we all know & love. Once I picked these two pieces everything else seem to fall into place. The cardigan with the burgundy details & being cozy, the bomber jacket with its cool & casual edge. As well as my trusty three. My hat, one of my all time favourite go tos to make an outfit cool, my burgundy bag. Which has sadly broken. And my burgundy suede & leather ankle boots. The day these give up on me will be another sad day.

Grab A Cuppa (Or Whatever) & Let's' Have A Chat

When Did I Become Old Enough For "Lady"?

As you all know, or should do now, I started working in Next around November 2014. So i've been interacting with A LOT more people than I did for a while... One of the things I noticed around this time was they way people would refer to me. People would call me "lady" & "Women" and it was VERY weird. For so long I have been used to being called a girl, I was fine with that as I didn't yet feel like I was a woman yet, I still don't! Plus, I knew I was one of those people had been given a baby face and again, I was more than fine with that. As many older woman would remind me, I'd be thankful when I did get old.

So what I want to know is, when and how did this happen? I seem to have become a woman over night. Even at family parties, children come TO ME. They ask ME if they are allowed to do something. I don't know. I can't even decide what's ok for me to do... Nevermind someone's own flesh and blood. Im not ready for that kind of responsibility. I always look around for a "real" adult, someone who's been doing it for far longer than me and are actually confident in the choices they are making. I have felt people treat me a bit different as well, with a little bit more respect I feel.

I do think I'm maybe carrying myself slightly different, which is a natural thing anyway when you are growing up. So maybe that's one of the reasons? I just find it so strange when someone tells their child to pass it to the woman, or give it to the lady. I don't feel like I'm out of that girl stage yet. I know I'm married, pay my bills and so on so forth. But, those things aren't hard and plus, I don't feel ready to be a woman yet! I still feel childish and giddy. Maybe I have made it, but my mind hasn't yet caught up and realised that I am now, A Real Adult. Or at least on my way...

When I see other people my age, who look a lot older I feel a bit more reassured. I'm like, no it's ok I'm not quite there yet. When you see woman like Kylie Jenner you don't feel so adult after all. Well at least I don't. I'm enjoying youth and being young. I know it won't last forever so I want to reveal it in for as long as I can. Because once you do become that older, put together looking female. That's it. There's no going back.

Starwars at T in the Park

I had quite a lazy day yesterday. A day for relaxing. I'd had quite a busy hectic week, so it was nice to not do any tasks. I'm not going to lie and say that's how I'd plan to live out the day... But I'm trying to learn that it's ok if plans don't work out, or go the way you originally thought they would. Just try and get back on the track, that is life. Today I'm aiming to finish a lot of blog & youtube work, so that I don't fall behind. Plus, I'm not doing anything else so I want to use the time wisely and feel proud of myself at the end of the day. I'm also hoping to have a mini clear out this weekend, again if i don't do it tomorrow that's fine! But, I think it needs to be done at least by sunday!

As much of a relaxing & task free day that it was, I did have my cousin and her new boyfriend over. As well as actually stepping out the front door... So rather than doing the same old grab a baggy jumper and whatever pair of jeans/black leggings that are clean, I thought I'd show you what Id wear on a casual day while still trying to keep it fresh & chic. There really is no reason to let style go out the window when you are having "a hair up kind of day", I know I sometimes also fall into the trap of thinking, no need to try today. But there are days when you're still wanting to look cool & fresh while not giving a fuck about life.

So since yesterday was a laid back day, I got some of the tasks I wanted to do today. I've also set myself a few goals for tomorrow as well! But, i'll need to be up at a decent time tomorrow as I'm off out for a dinner date with someone else from work! As I said, It's been a busy week & there's no plans for this week coming up at all! Im hoping to get a lot of blog & youtube prep done this week. Just so that, if I get busy again I don't need to worry about pushing myself too much and meeting deadlines. Chris and I did end up going out for a meal, but I never managed to get outfit photos as it was too dark. Just means It's an outfit I can pop on another time for you guys.

Jacket- Unif
T-shirt- T in the Park Festival 2011
Leggings- Blackmilk
Flats- Missguided
Bag- River Island

Outfit Details
So as I said it was a casual day so I wanted comfort. And you really can't go wrong with leggings so I popped these awesome ones on from Blackmilk. I then added an old festival top as baggy tees really are my go to. With the pointed metal flats & leather jacket I think it really added some coolness to the outfit. As well as looking like I "tried".
