Easy Like A Sunday Morning (OOTD)

Hiya guys! Last time I spoke to you, it was only the beginning of the week... Now we are about half way through! Yay, we are all going to make it to the end. I have to admit, though, my week hasn't been bad. Slow maybe, but not a bad week. I hope its been the same for you, except maybe going a bit faster? With working in retail, my busy/stress levels depend on how many people are shopping. But since its just after Christmas, believe or not, there aren't many people spending money right now. At times the shop can be basically empty! I finish tomorrow for the weekend though so it isn't too bad. Although, I've got a lot going on so I'll probably blink and be back at work again. Its always the same isn't it? The time you want to hold onto slips through your fingers before you know it. And the time you want to skip goes slower than a snail.

Now, if you were here on Monday then you will have seen my post about my local favourite & new brunch/lunch series? If not just click on the link to have a quick read & then come back! Well, this is the outfit I wore that day (& the next after work to go food shopping, I recycle outfits if they have only been worn for 2/3 hours). I didn't post it all together because I want to keep my outfit posts separate from other types of posts. That doesn't mean if I'm posting about a day out I won't share any photos of me in it, I'll just save the majority of the photos and details for an actual post itself. I just think if I'm talking about a certain topic, I don't really want to be adding photos of myself posing in random locations. I don't know, it just doesn't work for me.

Im actually quite happy with how these photos turned out, I don't know why, but both Chris & I agreed that I didn't quite look like I was into it this time. I didn't feel like I was either, no idea why! I feel like I just didn't know what to do in front of the camera. It's strange you know, taking photos of yourself in outfits, then posting it on the internet... For me, I always go into knowing what I want, how I want to look and feel. As well as how the whole photo looks and feels. If I don't see or feel the connection, then I feel like I lose it a little. I wanted it to look a bit more casual & cool. Jumped out of bed, thrown it together and ran out the door kind of vibe. I think I ended up with something completely different to want I intended in my head, but Im still happy with it and I think it all somehow works. Even the location & editing.

Cardigan- H&M
Jacket- Unif
Boots- Next
Bag- Topshop
Scarf- Topshop
Choker- Asos
Lipstick- Limecrime in Saint

Outfit Details
As it was a fairly casual Sunday, I didn't want anything too fussy or fancy! This tartan dress really is a favourite of mine to just throw on, It looks great with a lot of things. I knew I wanted to wear these awesome metallic boots, I think the super pointed toes really make them for me and add a great touch to any look. Again, keeping to the casual theme, I wanted a cardigan to just snuggle into. Because of the speckling effect, I thought this specific cardigan would match perfectly with the boots. They also have a slight speckling detail to them. Bag-wise I went for my trusty, spacious leather backpack. I thought it matched the dark/grungy vibe already had going on with this look. Plus, as I was going to be fairly busy in this outfit I had a lot I needed to carry. There are more pockets than I know what to do with them...

ANOTHER TRIP TO OUR WEDING VENUE

Hiya everyone! How has your weekend been? I've had a great busy weekend! We went back to the wedding venue as we needed to just go over a few bits as well as showing my dad around! That was pretty exciting as it was his first time there, so i was looking forward to hearing what he thought about the place. He wasn't overly excited, he is a male i suppose, but he definitely showed interest and was talking about it. So im pretty sure that he was impressed :P I got some video footage of the journey again, i've not included the venue as we are keeping that a secret right now. I don't know if i'm going to announce where it is on twitter just before or if im going to wait until afterwards. Also, i'm not sure if i'm going to share the wedding photos or not. It is a personal private day and isn't just my day. It's Chris' as well so will have to talk to him and see what he thinks about it!

My dad treated us to some lunch afterwards, i hadnt seen him since christmas and i can't remember when Chris last saw him so it was nice to catch up! We actually went to a baxters restaurant... i know! Who knew they had places to eat?! Because we don't really know the area we had to ask someone to direct us somewhere and thats where they sent us! We all thought it was the name of the next village :P We weren't able to stop for photos at the borders ether, we were running a little late, it was raining loads and afterwards we just wanted to find a place to eat. Stopping for photos and photography wasn't really a priority. Also because we came out of the venue a different way than we usually go we were also focused on finding the right way home, the roads were treacherous as well as there was tonnes of snow! It was quite sludgy so Chris was pretty much making sure he had control of the car.

Had a good ol'classic scottish dish of haggis neeps (turnip) & tattys! (potatoes) I love it :P

We got back pretty late and went for some dinner ourselves, so had to take photos in the dark!! Still getting used to it tbh!

OUTFIT DETAILS
I wanted something pretty smart and casual, plus the last time i went down i was pretty scruffy. I thought id pair this cute plaid dress with my tartan litas. Plus the tartans were a little different and i thought they werent pretty well together. Im wearing this cardigan constantly at the moment as its freezing here! I've also got a new obsession with this leather trench... i just think its so cool and i've not seen anyone in the blogosphere with one so i like that. I don't like to be the same as everyone :P

Also, don't forget to check back later ether here or on my youtube for a video of our journey/trip!

MONDAY BLUES

Hiya! I know the post is called monday blues but these photos were taken yesterday! And i thought it would be a cool title for the post since it was monday and i was wearing blue, which was not done on purpose. I just felt a casual day was needed. But i didn't want to go all out and wear my joggies and put on a scruffy hoody. I'm trying to wear something nice everyday, i fall out of the habit really easily though. If you haven't always got somewhere to go or something to do the first thing that comes to my mind is throw on my old trusty comfy grey or navy blue Jack Wills joggers (see their joggers collection here), as they are literally amazing and the best. They are so soft. I feel so much better as a person when i am dressed, i feel like an actual human and not a horrid gremlin form the underworld.

I'm going food shopping today so i'm pretty casual but still "styled". I really need to get my haul videos up as well, as im desperate to wear the stuff i've actually gotten. I'm a bit weird, i don't like to use the stuff i've gotten untill i've shown you guys in a haul. I know its bad but i'm really ocd about doing things in a weird ocd way that makes sense in my head. You know, i have my birthday/christmas i show you photos, then i show you a haul video and then i wear/use the stuff i've gotten and you get to see it in outfit posts! Although, i still haven't photographed the outfits i wore for my 20th but im getting to get them up as soon as! I tell you what i need to do, make a list of all the videos and post i'm wanting to make. Then just make my way down the list :)

Cardigan- Primark
Trousers- Topshop
Bag*- Mistella buy here (different colours available!)
Creepers- Underground at Viper London buy here
Hat- Asos
Lipstick- Chanel in Legende

OUTFIT DETAILS
I didn't really want to dress up so i seen these trousers and thought id chuck them on as i hadn't worn them in a while. So i went for a blue t-shirt to match and my trusty chunky black cardigan as i wasn't really leaving the house. I went to morrisons for my monthly mags. I thought the creepers would be a nice touch as well as being edgy. I thought about heels but i didn't want that kind of look, i wanted to look a bit scruffy and laid back.

BAD ASS WINNIE THE POOH & FRIENDS

Hiya guys! How are you all today? I'm feeling good, i'm really happy with some of the small changes i've made in my life recently. They aren't significantly huge life changing decisions or "New Years Resolutions" just some minor things that i wanted/thought i needed to change. I am slowly but surely keeping up with them all daily, but you have to start somewhere right? I have to say i have felt a little different already, i don't think i'm as lethargic as i was before the christmas period. Sometimes you just get yourself into a bad routine and its really hard to shake it off! But this time as i said, it seems to be working! I don't know whats different this time, i think its to do with my mindset. I was so determined to just get on with and stop bitching. So a kick up the arse can always help ;)

Today we went for lunch with Chris' mum to the trusty ol'Linwood Farmhouse, its freaking amazing! I love the place, its just really good pub grub! The menu is huge as well, so i don't think you would struggle with trying to find something to eat. Not to mention the prices, which is good for skint folks like us ;) I had the same for lunch that i always go for in there... I really can't help it! I'm a creature of habit, what can i say or do?

OUTFIT DETAILS
As i was just pondering about the flat today and going out for lunch, i wanted something casual and pretty comfy but with a chic twist! I thought i should wear this skirt as i hadn't in a while and you guys seemed to love it! So i thought i would try and see what else i could do with it, i thought doing a plaid/grunge vibe with it would look pretty cool. So i love this top as i was a HUGE winnie the pooh fan when i was younger and it matched the red in the tartan top, i originally was going to put on my tartan litas. But Chris and i both agreed that these croc red kitten heels went much better and gave it the chic twist i was looking for! I could of just added my trusty docs or creepers but i like to mix things up a bit...  Mixing contrasting styles. Chris actually said this one of my "tame outfits" :P I knew already i was going to use this bad as its amazing! I'm so in love with it and it really helped give the elegant feel i was looking to add. I styled gold jewellery with this outfit because of the gold on my bag.

So what do you think? Did i manage the plaid/grunge/chic look?

MY FIANCE PICKED MY OUTFIT 4)

Hiya everyone, how was your saturday? I have had a fairly chilled saturday, Chris very kindly took me to dinner at TGI Fridays  in Xscape as i have been choking for one for ages! It really is a guilty pleasure. It taste so amazing but omg its high in calories (no i don't watch my calories i'm on the "seafood" "seefood" diet, i see it and then i eat it. Simple as) as Chris always kindly points out to me! We were originally aiming to go to Braehead for some window shopping and beauty bits but we hadn't realised the time when we arrived, as well as not realising that the shops actually shut earlier on the weekend. Crazy. Also, if you hadn't already, i have posted my recent OOTD's onto YouTube so go check them out! I have done a post with all the videos so you can just have a look through my blog. But i would really appreciate it if you would subscribe :)

So here is what i had for my dinner! I had buffalo wings with "Red hot sauce" and an 8oz New York Strips steak with the Jack Daniel's sauce which is the bees knees.

OUTFIT DETAILS- By Chris
Today i decided to go for a rocker look for my lovely fiance. I think she suits the style really well and its a personal favourite of mine. I thought that i was quite adventures with her style today, normally i am quite reserved. i wasnted the outfit to have an american theme, hence why i chose the american patterned shorts and her guns 'n' roses tee. I added a dash of scottish heritage with the kick ass tartan litas and finished the outfit off with a trench coat and a nice blue bag.
