Misty Evenings

So here it is, my first outfit post since coming back! I've been pretty excited about coming back to blogging again, and it feels particularly special going back to my old roots with a good ol'outfit post! Im hoping to post at least one outfit post a week, I'm trying not to set myself too many out of reach goals. Im hoping by doing this it means I do actually reach them, rather than setting them too high, failing. Then giving up because I'm annoyed at myself.

I'm also hoping that by blogging again It pushes me to take care of myself more, taking more pride in my appearance again. It's been awhile since I done that. What I mean by taking more pride in my appearance again, is I need to start having fun with outfits and dressing myself again. When I stopped blogging, I stopped dressing up altogether, I just lived in my skinny jeans and hoodies! And to be honest with you all, I have far too many clothes (embarrassing as that it is to admit) to live in the same outfit for over a year... One of the main reasons this happened, is because I did get a job. Monday to Friday I was wearing my work uniform, so when I was off I just wanted to be lazy and be cozy in oversized jumpers!

So, speaking of work. I had to get new work uniform and I hadn't seen a couple of friends out of work in quite a while. So we decided to make an evening of it. Its always quite nerve wrecking I feel, as you need to get it checked by the managers, just to make sure its suitable! But everything went good, as it always does really and a got quite a lot of items that I was quite happy with. I was a bit sad that one of the dresses I first had my eye on look horrendous on! It was a beautiful dress, but the style was just too big for me, 5ft life eh?

We then ended up going to Pizza Hut and stuffing our faces. It was great. The foodie that I am, ended up convincing the other two to get starters... I can't NOT get a starter. Am I the only one? As we were too busy chatting I forgot to film any for my weekly vlog or take any instagram photos... Plus as I've just started doing this again, I didn't really want to shove it in their faces or be weird filming & taking photos... But, they have both assured me that this is ok to do in the future!

Outfit Details
I actually wore this outfit a couple of weeks ago visiting my cousin, so I just decided to recycle it. Its comfy and great for a casual meal with your friends. It also kept my cosy with this lovely cardigan I picked up in the sale. It's a great extra layer you can just pop on. I think all the pieces work great together & a little kooky like I like to have my outfits. I think the hat keeps it chic while the chunky boots and the rocky top keeps the edge I crave.

SOMEWHERE ALONG THE COUNTRY PATHS

Heya everyone :) What have you been up today? When we got up we went and done our weekly food shop. We were going to go for another bike ride but the weather is/was extremely hot today! Also im not 100% as i missed 2 injections the day before yesterday. Oops! So my heart was feeling a bit sore... bad isnt it? So instead of wasting the day we decided to stuff ourselves silly ;) We went to our usual favourite spot, Amarettos'. Honestly, if you are ever in or near Glasgow make a trip to Bridge of Weir! Its one of the best restaurants ever. The lunch time menu wasnt on as me missed it by few minutes or so. There was, however a specials menu on and we've never seen it on before so it was a bit of a surprise. Chris (fiance) ordered from the specials for a bit of change but i stuck to the main menu.

Chris had meatballs in napoli sauce with garlic bread to start with, then had a sausage, mozzarella and caramelised red onions in a napoli sauce calzone. I had potato & leek soup to start with then had breaded chicken with mozzarella & ham covered in a napoli sauce.

Todays outfit was pretty much thrown together as i was in a rush to get out the door, i was pretty hungry and so was Chris. I dont think ive ever worn this dress so i threw it on and because of its light material. Waay to hot for me! I put on my red snake skin heels as i thought they were a nice touch, plus i wanted to wear heels, but i had to be careful what to put on. I have a sore from another pair of heels on my ankle at the moment. I have very sensitive feet due to my diabetes so i need to be very careful what i wear. The white bag, obviously matches the white in my dress and i didnt have to struggle to get it out of the mountain of bags in my wardrobe. To be honest thats why i go through stages of just over wearing certain bags, i cant be bothered to have a fight every time i want to change my bag. The hat i thought would add a nice lady-like touch aswell as helping with keeping me cool!

ONE DAY I WANT TO OWN A HAT COLLECTION

Hiya everyone! How are you all doing? We have been receiving some glorious weather here in Scotland the past few days! The temperature has been so warm, im constantly feeling as if im being cooked. Now, im not about to complain about the hot weather because i really do love when the sun is out. But i really really struggle when it gets hot, as i really cant deal with the heat. It isn't long until i need to seek out some cool shade to relax in and protect my poor milk bottle white skin. Thats another thing, i dont tan. I go a bright pink. Or red. Attractive. When i go on holiday in August im investing in factor 60 for my face and factor 50 for my body. I really dont mind that i dont tan, i quite like having a pale complexion. It was what i was born with and its what i suit so im not going to try and achieve a look just because society dosent look the same as me or agree. I think so many females nowadays try and achieve that "golden tan" look and end up with a rather orange tinge to themselves and looking rather ridiculous, which is a shame. I dont understand why we cant just all appreciate our natural beauty, because at the end of the day guys really dont find "orange" attractive ether.

As im typing this im waiting for my washing to finish so i can hang it all up outside, the summer and sun is great for this. Its a much quicker process and much tidier! It makes me so happy! (I cant really believe im talking about clothes washing but, we all need to do it dont we?!)

Last weekend me and Chris went down to Carlisle to see my dad and that side of the family. It was for my cousins birthday, which was actually the weekend before, it was quite fun and it was nice for all of us to get together as we hadn't done it in a while! We had a buffet, which i was not shy of at all!   We also done a quiz (my family loves them and they happen pretty much every time theres an occasion like this) and played pass the parcel believe it or not! Im still not sure if this happend because my little brother was there or if it was for the adults! On the saturday morning before everyone came over me, Chris, Thomas (my brother) and my dad went to Silloth (where i got sunburnt!) for some sea fishing and to take some photos. I got the odd few im quite pleased with! I will sit down tomorrow to get them edited to show you all! Heres my photography page if you want to have a look at some of my past stuff for now!

Todays outfit i just threw together as i was trying to get out the door, so we could go for lunch with Suzy (chris' mum). I didnt get any insta-pics of my lunch as i was to hungry but it was good! I had tomato and basil soup with mozzarella, ham and tomato sauce on brushetta. So the top and skirt are pretty casual so i decided to add these simple elegant sandals and my new hat to add a bit of chic to the outfit, aswell as the long chunky black necklace. I think it worked quite well, its amazing by just adding small touches to an outfit you can completely transform it! I felt like a right lady in this outfit. The blue handbag somehow did match, it really goes with the grey of the top and the slight tinges of blue in my skirt.

(i havent edited these alot today as i didnt know what to do with them!)
