Wear Some Attitude With Those Boots

Yay, I have another outfit post! Originally on wednesday I had planned to shoot some outfits i'd worn but due to the weather or lighting I was unable to get photos. That didn't happen. Then today, I woke up it was nice weather I thought, yes, today is the day. But again, it was not meant to be. As I began to get ready the rain started so I didn't really want to spend time re-applying makeup and getting dressed up just for it to not happen. Plus, with the way our weather and short days are, you have to be really quick! So it's better to get something else shot rather than nothing at all. So as I was just jumping to the pharmacy to get some medication and doing a small food shop, I didn't really need to dress up too much. So casual & chic it was!

I know I said I didn't have the weather to put my other outfits on, but that would of taken time and time in Scotland at this time of the year is precious! I had things needing to get done and it was beginning to get late so it wasn't long before we would lose the light... I'd say that about an hour or so after we took these photos the evening grey skies had already began to set in. I have to say, i'm enjoying making casual outfits a bit more chic again. About a year ago I would just throw any old rubbish I could find. Most of the time that was just an oversized jumper and some doc martens... Not that there's anything wrong with that, I just wasn't even trying to make it look cool. I wanted to blend in the background.

I'm hoping to be able to get more outfit posts, but the weather is so unpredictable in Scotland! That's why Chris and I are thinking about getting up earlier one day a week and just shooting everything I've worn! I know I normally post what i've worn that day on the day, but you will only get 1-2 post every 2 weeks if you are lucky! Even though I've made changes on the blog, I still want to keep posting outfit posts as much as I can, as I do enjoy doing them and keeping to what this blog was originally about!

Jacket- Topshop
Shirt- Topshop at Charity Shop
Jeans- Next
Boots- H&M
Bag- River Island
Hat- H&M

Outfit Details
Chris and I went out last night for dinner for a date night and I wore this shirt. In all honesty, when I woke up this morning, it was lying on the floor. I didn't hesitate in grabbing it whatsoever. I'm not even ashamed. Its great to add a little more "put together in outfit". I thought the corduroy jeans would look great, keeping the casual in this outfit very firmly on the ground. Also, I adore them. I'm loving that they are cords as well as being bootcut rather than the safe skinny jeans we all know & love. Once I picked these two pieces everything else seem to fall into place. The cardigan with the burgundy details & being cozy, the bomber jacket with its cool & casual edge. As well as my trusty three. My hat, one of my all time favourite go tos to make an outfit cool, my burgundy bag. Which has sadly broken. And my burgundy suede & leather ankle boots. The day these give up on me will be another sad day.

Weird Kind Of Day

Hiya everyone, back with another post today! I've still not been able to film my "Updates" video yet but, I have that scheduled in my brain to do tomorrow... I haven't really had that much free time the past few days especially with putting together posts and uploading to Chictopia & Lookbook as well. So why was today a weird kind of day? Well, in all honesty its all to do with the weather really. When I first opened my eyes at an ungodly hour the sun was shining, then when I was finally able to manage to get brain signals to the rest of my body, telling it to move. I could still see some sun shining, however, when we finally got in the car and was about halfway to where we were going, the heavens decided to start spitting at us...Lovely. Also, with some added love in the shape of big grey heavy clouds. Oh the joys of living in a fairly miserable-weather kind of country.

As I have been writing this heavy rain has been falling from the skies above, I nearly didn't go out to get my camera from the boot. But I told myself to quit being a wimp as it was only for 2 minutes and I did have my hat on. It wasn't as if it really mattered anyway, I was retiring for the evening. So who cares if my hair went all flat and wet?

Where were we going today? I hear you ask, well to put it bluntly, to hand some CVS out to try and get a job... I handed quite a few out but whether or not I hear back from anybody is another story. I shall keep you all updated though!

Shirt- George at Asda (supermarket)
Skirt- H&M
Flatform Brogues- Office

OUTFIT DETAILS
So as I mentioned that I was handing out C.Vs, I wanted something smart yet casual. Something comfy enough to walk around in, but also said PLEASE HIRE ME. What do you think? Did I get that look? I really didn't mean to go for tartan again...It just sort of happened and I didn't want to wear any of the pastel colours that all my shirts seem to be in...As well as not re-wearing yesterdays outfit as I knew I was going to be posting today. I went for the all time favourite flatforms because as I said in yesterdays post, I want to get back into heels. Without crippling my feet today I opted for the flatform look, also these are flatform brogues and the last time I checked brogues are smart!

AN AUTUMN SHOOT

A few weeks ago a friend contacted me and asked if i would take her photos for her Make up assignments. Of course i said yes! I really want to get as many fashion/beauty shots as i can as theres really where i want to specialise. I really am in love with it, not as in a girly girl way so that means of course i love it. Especially when i see editorial photography my eyes just light up and i have a little buzz inside of me.  So anyway, back to the photos! Her first assignment is i think called Autumn and is mainly about the hair and of course to do with Autumn. She got her friend to model for her, who i think has a gorgeous colour of hair that really matches this assignment! It goes so well with the colours of Autumn. I edited them with an orangey tinge to match the theme and the season. I also helped with the styling, the cardi, glasses and bag are mine. I hope you all like them! Im so proud of them because its my first time ever taking photos for someone and doing something a bit fashioney and beauty wise. Plus ive grown in so much confidence in using photoshop now. Please give me any feedback aswell. So here they are! Dont for get to like my photography page on facebook!

CAN I PLEASE REMIND EVERYONE, ITS NOT ME IN THESE PHOTOS I WAS THE PHOTOGRAPHER! -  keep getting comments insinuating that its me in the photos and its not :)
