THE COLD WINTER AIR

Hiya how are you all today? This is my first official outfit post of 2014! I know i have posted some outfits, but they were from last year, so they don't really count! So i have a bit of a cold at the moment so right now im just running a nice warm bath to relax in! I was planning on getting my birthday haul filmed as well as the first half of my christmas haul filmed, but im sniffling every 2 minutes and it really isn't great to listen too! As well as my man voice and the coughing... So as i said im having my bath and relaxing instead! Its ok though as it gives me time to work on my last holiday post as well as the video that will be uploaded a day later.

So today was a pretty relaxed day, we met Chris' mum for some lunch then popped up to Glasgow. As we needed to pick up Chris' new pairs of glasses. Which reminds me, i really need to get my eyes tested! I haven't had them checked in sooo long, which is quite bad. Especially with being diabetic i'm meant to keep on top of those things. But i just forget sometimes what im meant to be sorting out and doing. Hence why im trying so hard to learn to organise myself, as this year really is a huge year for planning and organising... MY WEDDING! But i guess all that stuff sorts itself out with time and age.

OUTFIT DETAILS
I wanted to have loads of warm layers on today, i originally even had a cardigan on with this. The air up here now has a very cold nip to it and the fact i have a sniffly nose i just wanted to be snuggled up and warm! But as i do get hot too easily i thought i better take off my cardigan... So i started with the dress and as i put on my grey tights i decided a thick brown jumper to layer with would go perfectly. Then i could through on my brown ankle boots, as well as my huge oversized vintage green jacket. I wanted the flat boots on as we would be walking in Glasgow and i didn't think i could really be bothered with heels. Again i was just keeping it casual with the bag, i wasn't carrying much! I really love this necklace, i feel like im wearing armour. You should totally check out Persunmalls jewellery as they have some AMAZING pieces on there but the prices are so low!

CASUAL FRIDAY'S

Hey guys how are you all on this fine friday? Have any plans? If so, let me know in the comment box down below! Today has been miserable, we have definitely hit the winter now in Scotland. Well, saying that we are still getting the odd cheeky sunny day. But even then, our "cold days" are very quickly becoming full blown winter days. Which is what today was. I woke up to the sound of heavy rain hitting against our bedroom window, which was a little disheartening. We had a lovely sunny day yesterday and i went to bed with the plans of getting some outfit photos for the blog today. I did expect the weather to be alright just because of yesterday but i really should remember this is Scotland! The weather can do anything on any day. Never trust the forecast here, just always assume you are getting to get all four seasons in one day. Although, since i am here writing (or have now written since you are reading this) it means the weather did perk up a little bit this afternoon, thus resulting in an outfit post! Yaay!

In fact the weather went lovely this afternoon, you know when its mid-afternoon to evening time? And the evening light/sun has gone a gorgeous kind of golden? My favourite type of lighting to shoot in personally. It did go back to being greyish, but like i said we live in a "four seasons a day" country. I'd rather still get that little snippet of sunshine everyday even if its only for two minutes, better than nothing! Its just even worse when we hit the autumn/winter months. Oh well. You have to work with what you are given!

OUTFIT DETAILS
Since i woke up to a miserable day, i just wanted comfort and to be wrapped up in layers! I had started to put another outfit on but like i said all i wanted was comfort today. The other outfit really wasn't a "winter comfort" type of look. So i kept with this shirt and decided to match my oxblood docs with my trusty, always go to green skinny jeans. I then decided to add another layer with my cardigan, which matched the burgundy i was wearing as well as keeping with the earthy/toned down colours. I don't really wear another layer under my coats as i get too hot too easily. But i just felt like layering up today and it really has gotten colder recently. I also really feel my hat and coat turned this "casual" outfit into something a bit more chic. To be honest with you all, this is kind of my scruffy can't be bothered to try hard outfits. Skinny jeans and Dr martens are pretty casual, so if you do want to add something a bit more to your outfit think about what else you can/are going to add to change the look. Hence my oversized coat and hat!

HEELS ARE OK FOR THE SAFARI AREN'T THEY?

Hiya everyone how are you all this fine Tuesday? We have been very lucky and blessed with the sun today! Yesterday and the day before it has been spitting and raining. I fear that the winter is close and is soon to jump back into bed with us and give us all its got. To be honest with you, I don't have a problem with the winter its just the rain. Which, in Scotland we get a rather a lot of. Again, i wouldn't mind it AS MUCH if we were getting decent summers. So at least it would be worth it. Although i am fully prepared for outfit photos this Winter, we invested in some studio lighting, so no getting caught be the weather! Initially, the lights are/were for our photography so we can start getting clients in. But, they are also perfect for the blog! So two birds with one stone.

Today i was a little busy bee! I got up pretty early (well for me, and in comparison to recent awakenings) because i was wide awake, so i got THREE washings done (nice weather means i need to take advantage of the opportunity), cleaned out the bunnies cages to keep them fresh and i had a little tidy of the kitchen. I think i need to start setting myself little tasks to achieve everyday, because it made me feel really good. I know it wasn't a lot and i'm not saying they should be huge tasks. But it feels like you've achieved something for that day and i really do feel it can help boost and maintain your mental health/balance. Once i had hung up the last washing Chris treated me to some lunch at our favourite little local cafe, Bernies. I had my old favourite BLT (without the T) sandwich. It was delicious. Oh and i had DOUBLE the portion of fat mayonnaise coleslaw. Bring on the fatness.

Tonight, i actually have plans. I know right. Plans during the day AND during the nighttime? Crazy. Although, its not that interesting, its just me in the kitchen cooking for Chris, my cousin and her other half. Bolognese to be precise. I havent seen them in ages so we decided they would come up tonight and last minute last night decided I would cook some dinner for us all (I have been saying id do it for ages). I really love cooking and i think i am going to try and start videoing that side of me.

OUTFIT DETAILS
I dont know how the outfit came together, i just know i had decided it was time to wear these £3 trousers from Primark. I originally wore this outfit on Sunday, but due to the dark evenings we get now i wasn't able to get photos. I wanted to do a safari type look with them, so went for a checked shirt and these boots which i am in love with. Again, the satchel i thought tied in with the kind of look i was going for.

ORIENTAL CROCODILES

Heya, how are you all doing? Sorry havent posted for a few days just didnt get round to shooting any photos, no idea why to be honest! If you keep up with my twitter & instagram then you will have seen what i have been doing! If not then i advise you too if you want to stalk me more (please dont actually take that as permission to stalk me) than my blog allows you too. We have had such beautiful weather today in Scotland! The sun is out and it is about 20+ degrees! I cant believe it, maybe we are going to get a decent summer this year. Which means it will also make my blogging job much easier to do! Plus it creates much more beautiful visual content for you all.

Today, as it is a thursday, we picked up Chris's mum from work then went for some lunch. Which was sooo delicious, but i forgot to take some insta pics of it! Still getting the hang of taking photos of EVERYTHING i do. I had lamb shank in a berry jus (not juice) with mashed potatoes, Chris had chorizo, cajun chicken and red onion pasta with a cream sauce and Suzy (Chris mum) had a mediterranean vegetable skewer with rice and a hot sauce. We went to a place called the Houston Inn, its amazing! Pub food with a very fancy twist. If you are anywhere near Houston Glasgow area then again i really recommend you go try it out!

Once we had taken some photos and come back, i had decided to write a letter to my Grandma and Aunt Debbie. They had both recently sent me a card and postcard so i wanted to reply to them and get it posted today. So as it was a gorgeous afternoon/evening i asked Chris if he wanted to go for a walk with me to the post box, with a chance of an iced goody. I really love walking down our village as theres loads of pretty houses too look at and its a really nice walk. We had to walk to the bottom of the village though as the closet shop didnt sell individual ice creams and lollies but we didnt mind as the weather and temperature really was gorgeous. We were both going to surprise each other with getting some treats! But Chris insisted he got them, even though i wanted to treat him! He also made us some scrummy venison, chorizo & mozzarella burgers!

So here is the outfit. I did actually get some inspiration for this outfit from another blogger called Le Happy, so i am going to post her lookbook in to credit her for it!

It is slightly different, but for ages i have been trying to find an outfit for this kimono! Originally, i was going to wear my red suede heeled sandals but i thought these kitten heel snake print ones were much much better and more classy. The reason for the post name is because my kimono has a sort of oriental print and my heels are croc printed!

(always wanted a pic of me "smelling" a flower, think they make great pics!)
