Misty Evenings

So here it is, my first outfit post since coming back! I've been pretty excited about coming back to blogging again, and it feels particularly special going back to my old roots with a good ol'outfit post! Im hoping to post at least one outfit post a week, I'm trying not to set myself too many out of reach goals. Im hoping by doing this it means I do actually reach them, rather than setting them too high, failing. Then giving up because I'm annoyed at myself.

I'm also hoping that by blogging again It pushes me to take care of myself more, taking more pride in my appearance again. It's been awhile since I done that. What I mean by taking more pride in my appearance again, is I need to start having fun with outfits and dressing myself again. When I stopped blogging, I stopped dressing up altogether, I just lived in my skinny jeans and hoodies! And to be honest with you all, I have far too many clothes (embarrassing as that it is to admit) to live in the same outfit for over a year... One of the main reasons this happened, is because I did get a job. Monday to Friday I was wearing my work uniform, so when I was off I just wanted to be lazy and be cozy in oversized jumpers!

So, speaking of work. I had to get new work uniform and I hadn't seen a couple of friends out of work in quite a while. So we decided to make an evening of it. Its always quite nerve wrecking I feel, as you need to get it checked by the managers, just to make sure its suitable! But everything went good, as it always does really and a got quite a lot of items that I was quite happy with. I was a bit sad that one of the dresses I first had my eye on look horrendous on! It was a beautiful dress, but the style was just too big for me, 5ft life eh?

We then ended up going to Pizza Hut and stuffing our faces. It was great. The foodie that I am, ended up convincing the other two to get starters... I can't NOT get a starter. Am I the only one? As we were too busy chatting I forgot to film any for my weekly vlog or take any instagram photos... Plus as I've just started doing this again, I didn't really want to shove it in their faces or be weird filming & taking photos... But, they have both assured me that this is ok to do in the future!

Outfit Details
I actually wore this outfit a couple of weeks ago visiting my cousin, so I just decided to recycle it. Its comfy and great for a casual meal with your friends. It also kept my cosy with this lovely cardigan I picked up in the sale. It's a great extra layer you can just pop on. I think all the pieces work great together & a little kooky like I like to have my outfits. I think the hat keeps it chic while the chunky boots and the rocky top keeps the edge I crave.

MY FIANCE PICKED MY OUTFIT 2)

Hiya everyone, what a semi-lovely day we have had in Scotland! Between the heavy duty showers today we've had visits from the sun! Which is awesome. Means ive been able to get some lovely sunny outfit photos again for you all. It keeps coming out to play then hiding again, who knows why. Today me and Chris went for a lovely lunch at a place called Bernies in Bridge of Weir. I did not get any photos of the place and food because im very forgetful. I forget to take my SLR camera and i didnt have my phone as it needed charging! I am going to start trying ever so hard to keep up to date with all of my social media. So for lunch i had a toasted BLT sandwich (without the T), creamy coleslaw and some salted crisps with a cold can of diet coke. Chris, also had some salted crisps, a cold can of diet coke and an enormous burger! Both of our once empty bellies were very satisfied afterwards!

This outfit, is a part of a feature i started long ago on the blog. I just
havent done an outfit like this since!  I will sometimes get Chris to pick my outfit and no matter what it is i will wear it and post on here. So today this is what he came up with. Here is what he has to say about the outfit:

"Im a really geeky person at heart so i jumped at the chance to pick an outfit for Hayley today! I recently got a jumper that i knew she had her eye on for quite some time. So i decided today was the day that i would create an outfit for her! I decided to go for quite a grunge look which i thought would work well with the jumper and its also one of my favourite styles to photograph. To start off i matched the jumper with her new pair of "boyfriend" jeans. I finally decided to go for the loafer style of heel after various trial and error (im still new to this). I decided to add her favourite Topshop bomber jacket and her pop art zap clutch to brighten up the rest of the outfit. I am really happy with it and i think it suits her really well."

GUNS DONT ARGUE

Hey guys, sorry i haven't been around lately! The weather in Scotland has been so miserable! If its not been raining the freezing wind has been out and its really not fun for outfit photos! I don't really like taking photos inside ether, for some reason photos inside really don't compliment me at all!  Ill try and figure something out for the up coming cold months! We have been having the odd sunny day but its still freezing and because we haven't been up too much i don't feel like dressing up as much. I've also been rushing to get college work to do but im being so lazy atm! I don't know if its just because its the winter and i want to hibernate for the next few months.

Plus with my blog, its a daily style blog, im only going to blog about the outfit i've worn that day. Its more real for my and my readers i feel. Plus i don't want to give an illusion about my life with making up outfits. If i need to wear something big and fancy for something i will, im not just going to put it on so i can blog about it. It doesn't feel real to me and like i said id feel as if i was being fake, lying to you all. Im not saying i don't have nice things and bla bla blah but im only going to post an outfit on my blog if i've ether worn it that day or a few days before. I feel that way my readers can connect to me and my blog more because they can see what i've worn and done that day.

So this is what i wore today, its pretty casual but i knew i had to post sooner or later! lol I have been pretty casual recently i just cant be bothered with heels i just want to be warm and comfy atm and because i'm at college and taking photos, running about in heels aren't really suitable! Im trying to use jewellery a lot atm to jazz up my outfits, make it look like i've tried harder than i have. Thats all i'm really allowing myself to buy now is jewellery. Glamorous all the way i say, the one i wore today i would describe as a statement piece and thats what im into and it really does make a difference!
