September 2016 Asos Wantlist

Hiya all, I thought it was a good time to share a few of the things I'm lusting after! I don't know why but i'm currently obsessed with any type of jean that isn't skinny right now... There's so many awesome options out there now. One of the many things I love about Asos is, they have such a wide option to choose from and they have a lot of decent prices. Also, if you already follow me on instagram (& if you don't, why not?!), then you know I recently made an asos order... Well, I made another small one and I'm going to be opening them in a video very soon for you!

Misty Evenings

So here it is, my first outfit post since coming back! I've been pretty excited about coming back to blogging again, and it feels particularly special going back to my old roots with a good ol'outfit post! Im hoping to post at least one outfit post a week, I'm trying not to set myself too many out of reach goals. Im hoping by doing this it means I do actually reach them, rather than setting them too high, failing. Then giving up because I'm annoyed at myself.

I'm also hoping that by blogging again It pushes me to take care of myself more, taking more pride in my appearance again. It's been awhile since I done that. What I mean by taking more pride in my appearance again, is I need to start having fun with outfits and dressing myself again. When I stopped blogging, I stopped dressing up altogether, I just lived in my skinny jeans and hoodies! And to be honest with you all, I have far too many clothes (embarrassing as that it is to admit) to live in the same outfit for over a year... One of the main reasons this happened, is because I did get a job. Monday to Friday I was wearing my work uniform, so when I was off I just wanted to be lazy and be cozy in oversized jumpers!

So, speaking of work. I had to get new work uniform and I hadn't seen a couple of friends out of work in quite a while. So we decided to make an evening of it. Its always quite nerve wrecking I feel, as you need to get it checked by the managers, just to make sure its suitable! But everything went good, as it always does really and a got quite a lot of items that I was quite happy with. I was a bit sad that one of the dresses I first had my eye on look horrendous on! It was a beautiful dress, but the style was just too big for me, 5ft life eh?

We then ended up going to Pizza Hut and stuffing our faces. It was great. The foodie that I am, ended up convincing the other two to get starters... I can't NOT get a starter. Am I the only one? As we were too busy chatting I forgot to film any for my weekly vlog or take any instagram photos... Plus as I've just started doing this again, I didn't really want to shove it in their faces or be weird filming & taking photos... But, they have both assured me that this is ok to do in the future!

Boots- River Island at Asos
Hat- H&M
Bag- River Island

Outfit Details
I actually wore this outfit a couple of weeks ago visiting my cousin, so I just decided to recycle it. Its comfy and great for a casual meal with your friends. It also kept my cosy with this lovely cardigan I picked up in the sale. It's a great extra layer you can just pop on. I think all the pieces work great together & a little kooky like I like to have my outfits. I think the hat keeps it chic while the chunky boots and the rocky top keeps the edge I crave.

Didn't You Hear? Autumn Is Here.

Hiya guys, been a while, how are you all? Have you had a good summer, or lucky enough to still be enjoying sun & freedom? I'm not going to get into what i've been up too or explaining my disappearance as I am planning to do an "Updates Video" on Youtube which i will also be posting on here. So I'll just be doing a general chatty post today, hope you don't mind too much! So today we just popped along to Xscape (now Soar), for something to eat with Chris Gran. Then we popped along to the arcade games as Gran is an avid coin gambler, of course, just like most of that generation... And they say we, the younger generation, are frivolous with our money. Believe me, you don't understand the definition of frivolous with money until you've witnessed a grandparent at the arcades! In all honesty though, Chris Gran DOES NOT have a gambling problem. Or so we are lead to believe ;)

I think every person from each generation has some sort of memory of going to these sorts of places, or it may just be a UK thing. I remember being about 5-6 years old and going to a place called Hayling Island, an island (duh obviously with a name with the actual word island included...) with one of those british seaside towns, which had a small fair and rides. As well as a small arcade and play area inside. The place was called Funland. I can honestly say I loved going, I even had my 5th birthday party there. Im pretty sure I had some of my happiest moments and memories there. From my memory, as a child, it was totally awesome! I know now, that if I was to return (which im sure I will, as i'd love to show Chris!) I wouldn't understand the fascination I had, the delight it brought me. Even now, as Im thinking about the place i can taste their chips from the chippy and the sweet doughnuts. Mmm! I wonder if its changed much from my last visit? It didn't change much in the time I even visit as a child...

Warning: There are a TONNE of scratches ALL OVER my hands and legs from our kittens Mufasa & Valentino! I haven't had a fight with a thorn bush...

Dress- Fat Face (Gift from Mother in Law!)
Heels- Asos similar here
Clutch- Internacionale
Necklace- Primark
Lipstick- Mac in Craving

OUTFIT DETAILS
Originally, I had a completely different outfit in mind, except for the shoes I kept them. I wanted something pretty casual & not so out there for my first post coming back (more info coming in my updates video). I was also just going for relaxed lunch so I thought this would be comfy enough while giving me room to eat ;) I stuck to the red/white colours with this outfit and I thought the pop of yellow in my clutch added that extra something, without going over the top. Also, yellow matches pretty well with red. I went for heels even though they aren't casual because I really want to get back into wearing different shoes and heels again. Need to re-break my feet in!

THESE SUNNY DAYS ARE MAKING ME SO HAPPY!

Hello everyone! How are you all doing this fine day? Gorgeous weather still, its so incredibly hot in Scotland we really are having a heatwave. It really does make you forget about global warming ;) (i am definitely pro saving the planet, looking after it and all the wildlife! So dont panic, im not being literal)I know i havent been posting much or even made any more videos but i am going to get it together, i promise! I was a very lucky girly today and once again treated by my amazing fiance Chris! We went to Prezzo in Braehead which is our nearest local shopping centre (i didnt buy anything i only browsed! Was very tempted though). Ive only ever been once before but i didnt really enjoy it, it was because i used to be quite fussy. I think they have changed the menu a little bit now aswell, so that helped!

Here is what we had, we had a sharing platter to start with, Chris has Carbonara and it looked amazing! I have never really fancied it, but after today looking at his i think im going to have to try it. I had chicken with parma ham & cheese on top with cheesey potatoes! Amazing.

Todays outfit was literally thrown together. Before Chris left to pick his mum up from work, he told me to wear something kind of dressed up. So i knew instantly i needed some heels on! But with the weather you want comfy aswell, not pain! I thought i would try a kind of pastel look today, i dont wear pastel too much as i find it too intimidating and girly. Believe it or not im really not the "girly type" dont get me wrong, i love my dresses, skirts and heels. But pastel just screams girly! I like to wear something  with a bit of a hard edge, dark. So anyway, this outfit came together. I have a bit of a soft spot for this skirt for some reason, i thought it would look great with this vest and of course it created that bit of dark i needed to feel comfortable. These wedges are extremely comfy so i threw them on as-well as my white bag which i add to all my pastel/girly kind of outfits. Theres not much thought behind the jewellery, i threw it all on at the last minute!

Theres a bit of a story behind this skull necklace, many of you may or may not know but 2 years ago i sadly lost my mum. I am a firm believer in the spiritual world and i do still believe that she is around looking after me and watching me. Now ghosts, apparently they have quite a mischievous side to them and like to hide things! Which takes me back to the necklace, no word of a lie i had lost it for about 2-3 months? I looked everywhere, continuously looking into my necklace box and emptying it. In hope of finding it. It was a gift for my 18th off my little brother so its very special and sentimental for me. So as i was pulling out the other necklace im wearing today, there it was. Entangled. I couldn't believe it! She is constantly hiding things in the flat, we have to actually ask for them back then they re-apear again! Crazy stuff.

EVERY CLOUD HAS A SILVER LINING

Heya everyone, had a good day? We went to lunch with Chris grandparents as we always do on Wednesday but apart from that I have had quite a lazy chilled day but i think tomorrow i need to start writing lists of things i need to get sorted. It really is time to un-clutter my life or even just start to organise myself a bit better. I have THE worse memory in the entire history of the world. I really need a list, something visual for me to see what i need to do. Im a very visual person. When i was younger for studying i used to do everything in bright colours as it was easier for me to learn it and see what it was i needed to know. Mood-wise, i am feeling much much better. Im not down at all and i feel my normal self, so im very glad about that.

So this outfit. How did it come together? Well, i have no idea. Ive wanted to use these shoes for a while but until last night i only had one other outfit idea for them. It was with the dress that i wore/posted yesterday so i couldnt really pop it on today. Plus it was nice and summery weather again and i think these shoes are quite summery. I then remembered this skirt and how the minty pastel colour was quite similar to the shoes plus i used my green satchel bag yesterday and i couldn't quite be bothered to switch bags today. And thus, this outfit was born. You all know (or should know by now, except if you are a new reader :P) how much i love mixing casual and dressed up things and thats why i added this t-shirt. I thought the grey would work quite well with the rest of the outfit. And of course the white socks are just too damn cute not to add to these metallic mary-janes!

I know for some of you these shoes will not be your thing and that they are kind of ugly. But thats also what kind of drew me to them. The thought of not many people having them or liking them. I try where i can to be different. I also added this sunglasses because 1) Chris told me to and 2) they are kind of metallic and match the shoes :)

IRON MAN & SPIDER MAN

Hiya everyone! Had a good day? Me and Chris went for some lunch with his mum at Bernies Cafe. I did not dress up today as i was too lazy but fortunately for you lot i had an outfit i had yet to post. Its what i wore on sunday to go to Chris parents for some dinner. We were lucky to even get to photograph this outfit, as there was an interval from raining then afterwards it chucked it down. I dont even think it had been that heavy all day until we literally stopped shooting. Talk about luck! It was as if the universe wanted me to get the photos ;)

The reason im having a lazy day is because im really tired today, i havent been sleeping well the past few nights and i have no idea why. As soon as im wanting to sleep (as its already late) I just seem to be wide awake and the birds are wanting to talk. Not good. I need to try and get an early night tonight though as i have a few things that need to be urgently sorted out tomorrow!

I wore this originally in Paris (and because i am/was a bad blogger then i didnt get photos of it in a pretty fantastic place to photograph. BUT in my defence i really dont like to pose/model in front of people as i feel like a vain twat.) and i really loved it. I love the cool casualness of it and how super comfy it is. We were walking around all day so i was not about to put heels onto my poor little feet. Plus i love that these flatforms really add to my height which is a major plus for me as i do like some added height to my petiteness. I also thought because it was a pretty wacky outfit and we were in a "fashionable" city people around me would also adore it as much as i did. Oh how one can be wrong. The looks i continued to get the whole time i was in Paris was crazy. I guess the outfits i had picked to wear out there would of looked much better in the surroundings of London and its wacky street style.

I totally misjudged the styling situation. As i looked around myself i noticed how mature, chic and minimal Parisian style was. I really do wish i had kind of researched outfit choices before i went. So next time i go, i will be wearing my smarter side of my wardrobe.
