Easy Like A Sunday Morning (OOTD)

Hiya guys! Last time I spoke to you, it was only the beginning of the week... Now we are about half way through! Yay, we are all going to make it to the end. I have to admit, though, my week hasn't been bad. Slow maybe, but not a bad week. I hope its been the same for you, except maybe going a bit faster? With working in retail, my busy/stress levels depend on how many people are shopping. But since its just after Christmas, believe or not, there aren't many people spending money right now. At times the shop can be basically empty! I finish tomorrow for the weekend though so it isn't too bad. Although, I've got a lot going on so I'll probably blink and be back at work again. Its always the same isn't it? The time you want to hold onto slips through your fingers before you know it. And the time you want to skip goes slower than a snail.

Now, if you were here on Monday then you will have seen my post about my local favourite & new brunch/lunch series? If not just click on the link to have a quick read & then come back! Well, this is the outfit I wore that day (& the next after work to go food shopping, I recycle outfits if they have only been worn for 2/3 hours). I didn't post it all together because I want to keep my outfit posts separate from other types of posts. That doesn't mean if I'm posting about a day out I won't share any photos of me in it, I'll just save the majority of the photos and details for an actual post itself. I just think if I'm talking about a certain topic, I don't really want to be adding photos of myself posing in random locations. I don't know, it just doesn't work for me.

Im actually quite happy with how these photos turned out, I don't know why, but both Chris & I agreed that I didn't quite look like I was into it this time. I didn't feel like I was either, no idea why! I feel like I just didn't know what to do in front of the camera. It's strange you know, taking photos of yourself in outfits, then posting it on the internet... For me, I always go into knowing what I want, how I want to look and feel. As well as how the whole photo looks and feels. If I don't see or feel the connection, then I feel like I lose it a little. I wanted it to look a bit more casual & cool. Jumped out of bed, thrown it together and ran out the door kind of vibe. I think I ended up with something completely different to want I intended in my head, but Im still happy with it and I think it all somehow works. Even the location & editing.

Outfit Details
As it was a fairly casual Sunday, I didn't want anything too fussy or fancy! This tartan dress really is a favourite of mine to just throw on, It looks great with a lot of things. I knew I wanted to wear these awesome metallic boots, I think the super pointed toes really make them for me and add a great touch to any look. Again, keeping to the casual theme, I wanted a cardigan to just snuggle into. Because of the speckling effect, I thought this specific cardigan would match perfectly with the boots. They also have a slight speckling detail to them. Bag-wise I went for my trusty, spacious leather backpack. I thought it matched the dark/grungy vibe already had going on with this look. Plus, as I was going to be fairly busy in this outfit I had a lot I needed to carry. There are more pockets than I know what to do with them...

Let's Get Back Into This

Oh hey guys... long time since i actually posted normally. My posts the last few weeks have been a bit, well, erratic. For that i am truly sorry! I do now present to you a new beginning with the blog. I'm sure i've explained this a few times in various ways but, i want to explain in a little more detail. The way to start a good story is always at the beginning though ;) So thats where i shall start. At the beginning of the year i had decided i want to go in a bit of a new direction with my blog. I don't want to restrict it to just photos of my outfits... I want it to be my complete outlet where i can just put myself out there. Does that make any sense? I want to try and document as much of my thoughts, likes & adventures as i can. From whether that is current likes or random trips away somewhere. When i'm a "real adult" I want to look back at my blog, as a sort of window to the past.

I feel as though a blog is a sort of online diary, or thats how i treat it (just without giving you lovely people every tiny little detail of my life). I also want to use my voice on the internet more, as well as maybe using it to help people. I understand if it all seems a bit all over the place right now, especially with the weird odd posts i've given you guys. But i'm hoping that over the next few months maybe the blog will make a bit more sense and you will see the kind of new posts i will be doing. I hope you enjoy this new journey with me as much as i am taking it! I'm so excited for this new start, its the positive stableness i need right now. Of course, i have Chris, but maybe some of you can understand when i say i need something to focus on that is going to be an enjoyment. It won't bring any stress.

Also, i do have a blog re-design coming but money kind of ran out at the end of the month... You know, how it usually does? Funny isn't? Its like your money sees the end of the month and runs off as if its scared or something.
(ssshhh i know i'm poor)

OUTFIT DETAILS
So today i was off to my friend Lauras for an afternoon of tea, cake, sandwiches, a whole lot of fun & giggling! The weather today was a weird one so i needed to be covered up. As i thought i was going to be walking to and from hers, i thought reliable clunky creepers were the way forward. Chris offered to drop me off, so my lazy short legs COULD NOT refuse. I thought the sweater tucked in boyfriend jeans would be a nice casual touch, but a little chic. I wore my blue bag as i've been using that the past few days, also it was blue. There was blue on my jumper... So that's how todays outfit emerged out of my wardrobe :)

IRON MAN & SPIDER MAN

Hiya everyone! Had a good day? Me and Chris went for some lunch with his mum at Bernies Cafe. I did not dress up today as i was too lazy but fortunately for you lot i had an outfit i had yet to post. Its what i wore on sunday to go to Chris parents for some dinner. We were lucky to even get to photograph this outfit, as there was an interval from raining then afterwards it chucked it down. I dont even think it had been that heavy all day until we literally stopped shooting. Talk about luck! It was as if the universe wanted me to get the photos ;)

The reason im having a lazy day is because im really tired today, i havent been sleeping well the past few nights and i have no idea why. As soon as im wanting to sleep (as its already late) I just seem to be wide awake and the birds are wanting to talk. Not good. I need to try and get an early night tonight though as i have a few things that need to be urgently sorted out tomorrow!

I wore this originally in Paris (and because i am/was a bad blogger then i didnt get photos of it in a pretty fantastic place to photograph. BUT in my defence i really dont like to pose/model in front of people as i feel like a vain twat.) and i really loved it. I love the cool casualness of it and how super comfy it is. We were walking around all day so i was not about to put heels onto my poor little feet. Plus i love that these flatforms really add to my height which is a major plus for me as i do like some added height to my petiteness. I also thought because it was a pretty wacky outfit and we were in a "fashionable" city people around me would also adore it as much as i did. Oh how one can be wrong. The looks i continued to get the whole time i was in Paris was crazy. I guess the outfits i had picked to wear out there would of looked much better in the surroundings of London and its wacky street style.

I totally misjudged the styling situation. As i looked around myself i noticed how mature, chic and minimal Parisian style was. I really do wish i had kind of researched outfit choices before i went. So next time i go, i will be wearing my smarter side of my wardrobe.
